I was always amazed at the electric heat they would put in on holmes on homes, they are in canada and the electric is suppose to be cheaper, but still!

I think it's all about cost to the builder and that it is quick and easy for them.  Buyers aren't educated about what way to go.  Propane to cook on and electric base board....hmm.

I think electric would be okay for 'bunkers' like 'us'.  Mini Split sounds like real possibility.
