No BT, I didn't get bit, but my wife was flipping out when I picked it up and carried it into the woods, she really despises snakes. It was just a garter snake. We don't have anything naturally in this state that is poisonous. There was a report a few years a back of a woman in Bar Harbor being bit by a Brown Recluse spider, but they are non native so not sure if that was true or not.
Probably just MRSA. A lot of times, people will confuse staph for spider bite.

Being in pest control, you'd be amazed at how many people are bitten by spiders. /sarcasm. Every time someone gets a bump they think it's a spider bite. Doctors seem to side with them as well, although I've heard that there's no way to tell what kind of bite it is with the naked eye.
And here in MD, we don't have brown recluse (yet), but once again you'd be amazed at how many people have "a friend that was bitten by a brown recluse".
