While the gf worked on the chicken coop I thought that it was a good day for one of my rabbits to die. This was my first time killing/cleaning a rabbit so I did what any person that is too proud to ask for help..I went to youtube. This is the video I watched.

I didnt have one of the sweet neckbreakers so what I did was take Dorthy out of her cage, grabed her by her hind legs and placed her over my leg and judo tchopped her on the back of the neck. Much to my surprise that did the job. I used some 5/50 cord and tied two slip knots then I hung Dorthy up by her back legs in my shed. To start things off I made a few cuts above the heel with my knife then I sliped my sissors between the skin and the meat and made a big cut. after that I just pulled it down to the ass. I did the same for the other side. Cut off its tail then kept on pulling. When I got down to the head/front lets I took my garden loppers and cut the head and front legs off. I broke the pelves then took my knife and cut from the peepee to pretty much where I cut the head off. The interals pretty much fell out but I did have to cut out the poop tube, blader, heart, and a bunch off fat and other stuff.. I had a tub for all that shit to fall into. After it was all said and done I took what was left of Dorthy and washed her off witht he hose. My gf took over after that while I went down into the ravine and buried all the shit. Not too bad. The gf pan fried Dorthy...I thought it was so so. Too greasy for me. Anyone have any tips?

I just got off the phone with a guy who lives in Mass but has an uncle in CT that has a butcher shop and can get me a bunch of different kinds of meats. I'm going to pick up a few rabbits and a few ducks and see how it goes. I'm finally getting my rabbit meat. Now I just gotta get a rifle before B17 gets tired of me just window shopping.

I thought about rasing rabbits. But not sure I could gut Dorthy. Did you save the hide?
