I divided my pen in half. lined the outside with 7 foot t posts.

took the electric fence wire off the 5 acres next to my fenced area and ran two strands above my goat fence.

this was creating a decent bite around the whole 5 acres. it really packs a punch around the 200 foot pen. the poor bastard took one to the nose. but i think he learned his lesson and i dont have to keep him tied anymore. he is playing with the others.

I also patched my horse ribbon and that is funtioning again.

I probably got shocked 30 times this weekend.

Nice, yeah getting zapped sucks, but it is a rite of passage. My grandfather had an old grass burner that was horrible. I still have nightmares over it.

You going to just keep him a month still?

yea, i have a butcher date set for 10/21

it might be hard. these guys sure are enjoyable.

especially the youngsters. I get a few belly laughs a day from them.

I will try and get video. but everytime i feed them the smallest runs at the bucket full speed and crams himself in blocking his brothers out. doesnt use his arms at all. just hits it like a bullet.

Ya that's why I could never raise goats for meat. Its to bad as there is a large Samoli and Indian market around where I live that I could sell to. I'm gonna have a hard enough time with my Turkeys. The meat birds were no problem.

does everyone elses goats act like they havent eaten in weeks when they are fed??

i thought i was following instruction but i went through a 50lb bag of feed and 2/3 a bale of alfalfa hay in 2 weeks.

that as on 1 120lb  boer and 2 40 lb kiko boer mix.

does that sound right?

if i follow the 1 percent of weight rule... i fed about double...

they dont have much browse

thanks
