sounds like a lot of grain and not enough hay, I've heard anywhere from 1-1.5 pounds of grain per body weight, you could try chaffhaye as well since they don't have much browsing

The following users say thank you to K for this useful post:

Well that was far harder than I thought it was going to be.

But a good life experience.

It crushed me that the goat was trying so hard to get back into his pen as I was loading him up.

It was obvious to me that he was terrified as I was dropping him off. For always being so noisy and rambunctious he was completely stoic.

I think any meat eater should have to experience what I just did. To really understand and appreciate that what you eat was a living breathing creature that has thoughts and emotions.

Know how you feel man, ive talked about our struggle with it on here in the past. They way i look at is that i give them the best life possible, it doesnt totally take away the pain but it does help. It also gets easier with the next one, the first one is always difficult.

We have had pigs, cattle, turkeys, chickens and ducks, the only ones we have not had an attachment to is the ducks, more so because they are mallards and are naturally stand offish and really dont let us get closer than 4 feet to them.
