Nope all six are doing well.  One has a busted up leg. Happened when it was a chick. Seems to still do alright.

So my neighbor came and got the Turkey. I may get it back it sounded like they didn't care one way or the other. I was not home when they walked down and got it.  Im gonna walk up and see whats up.  My girls fell in love with it.  If I don't get it back I may pick up a Tom and hen of that breed for fun. Keep em as pets. My girls would love that!

I guess my neighbor invested in something like 25 of those a few yrs ago. He took a beating on them when his investors realized Organic Turkey was expensive. LOL

I guess he lost money on that.....

my brother had a tom and he was super mean. a friend of ours also had a rooster that was like a watch dog. his name was henry and he would literally chase you around if you came in the yard. Same with the turkey.

are you raising your turkeys for food or to sell? if for food, do you plan on butchering them yourself?

we were taking our birds for processing to Jasons in Albion, people would be waiting to buy turkeys from people that brought them in for 80-100 dollars, I was shocked the first time I saw it

Weird.  I'm gonna try it out and see what happens. Worst case I will butcher it and eat him!  LOL

Yes I have 20 meat chickens and 6 turkeys I am going to butcher myself. My father and I are going to build a chicken plucker and im gonna butcher all of them myself.  I just did a 6 lb meat bird a week ago ,it was eadsy .

By the way 100% organic chicken is 100000000000000 times better than any chicken I have ever eaten!
