Shower stall is all done and ready for grout. Ordering a piece of glass for the wall and then calling that part done(ish).

First coat of Behr premium ulta plus on the outside and I'm definitely going to need two. It's unfortunate that the hardieplank comes pre-primed and the paint has a primer in it and I still need two coats. First world problems I suppose:

Are you going to stain the trim or wrap it in metal?

It'll just be painted to match the other trim.

Realized how delinquent I've been with updating, had to go to the 3rd page just to find my thread! So I took a week off to go visit this:

Came back and finished off the shower:

Polished out the countertop. Had streaks up to 400 grit so I had to go to 1500 before they disappeared. Not stoked with the sealed finish so I'll see if I can wax it to a better sheen (never use the sealer at 100%, it streaked). Here it is at 400 with swirlies:

Added what we puritans like to call a "water-closet":

Planted a tree, some holly bushes, and extended the landscaping timber to tie it all in. You can tell how much brighter the new space is:

Counter (hopefully) comes tomorrow and I'll try to wax it to see if I need to fix the sealant or just tell myself it's a rental and move on.

Haha same. My dad tried to get me to keep them as a feature but I couldn't see them until after it had dried meaning I had very little visiblity of where they went while doing the wet sanding. Need to get a dry sanding pad.

The cabinet arrived! Though it was too big, we improvised:

And dry fitted the countertop:

Going to try to buff the top before I install the sinks. Still have some weird surface finish after using Cheng's sealer. Annoying after so many hours into it.
