pretty cool idea for a spare bed for not a lot of space, where to keep the mattress though?

Yeah...interesting...Maybe pad the bottom with a layered comforter?  I don't want to make it too easy for too many guests to stay over...they might not leave.  That Aframe on top of the root cellar is sounding better all the time.
