Well, with the tractor, our 2 cars, and all of the bikes and electric ride on toys I am running out of garage space at our new house. There is a spot behind the garage, on under the eve of the garage roof, where I want to put a lean-to. About 22' wide and 20' deep. I will use the tractor to grade the spot and remove a bunch of trees/bushes that are there now and hire a contractor that is a family friend to help build it. I don't expect it to be too difficult (famous last words).
When finished I expect it to look something like this. My preference is to use steel roofing but since this will be attached to our shingled garage, which is attached to our house, I figure it has to look the same. I am hoping for this to come in around ~$1,500.
More pictures to come as we get started.

And here is the progress so far. I thought we would have the roof done by now but my contractor (buddies father in law) ran out of energy yesterday afternoon and wanted to stop at 4 PM. I didn't have any roofing guns so progress is stalled until tonight. We got a ton of work done and it is impressive what you can do with guys who know their stuff. Final grade underneath the lean-to will come after we finish the roof -- I didn't know exactly where the posts were going and ran out of time to order fill dirt and spread it before we started.
Siding off.
Posts set and lining up trusses.
Trusses up.
The tractor helping out.
OSB time.
Lifting up the sheets of OSB. This helped out big time.
End of day 1.
And
Day 2 -- Just working on drip edge, felt paper, and shingling.
And
This thing is huge. Plan is to just grade underneath it and cover the dirt with crushed concrete or something. I don't plan on closing it in any time soon although that may change with time. It is 22' long by ~20' feet deep. I should be able to fit a ton of wood, bikes, and other stuff underneath it.

Shingles are up.
Items remaining: flashing under eave, reinstall soffit vent and fascia, and reinstall siding under the lean-to. Then comes dirt level and spreading of rock. Oh, and painting the posts, fascia, and end rafters on the lean-to to match the house. Yeah, I was crazy to think this would be done in a weekend.
Costs are ~$1100 for building materials and ~$400 for labor. Haven't purchased the rock yet for underneath so I'm not sure how much that will be. I think I got a lot of covered space for the money and am happy with it. Can't wait for it to be leveled out and rocked so I can move out some bikes and other equipment.
