What do you guys have for heat in your workshops?

I just have a ceramic heater, same one we have used in the house. One downside of the way we did the doors is that we basically have a 6 foot opening in the end that is only covered with 2 inch material and is not that air tight. There is a decent gap around the whole perimeter of the door.

It's currently 20 degrees with strong winds, went out and turned on the heater while I was working on other stuff. The thermometer readout on it said 32 degrees, went and checked on it when I fed the animals and it's still reading 32, don't think it goes below 32 to be honest.

I have a propane torpedo heater I am going to throw out there and see how fast I can heat it up.

What do you have?

ended up going with a simple tank heater, need to figure something else better that I feel comfortable leaving on all the time down there.

I have used an electric powered 'oil filled' radiator before...can only heat so much space, but safe and programmable. It kept the chill out of the shop, not toasty though.  I liked that the 'oil' stayed warm when the unit cycled off.

Can you better seal the door? Can you take a picture to show us what you are working with?
