looks like no COLA increase for SS beneficiaries, third time in the last 40 years that has happened and they have all been since 2010
WASHINGTON (AP) — For just the third time in 40 years, millions of Social Security recipients, disabled veterans and federal retirees can expect no increase in benefits next year, which is unwelcome news for more than one-fifth of the nation's population.
looks like the banks are finally going after their shadow inventory of foreclosures, should see housing price drop again I would imagine
New foreclosures may be back to nearly normal, but the mess from the epic housing disaster in the last decade is far from gone. Bank repossessions, the final stage of the foreclosure process, jumped 66 percent year over year in the third quarter of this year, according to RealtyTrac, a foreclosure sales and analytics company. It's the largest annual rise ever recorded in bank repossessions by RealtyTrac. More than 123,000 homes went back to the bank in just three months.
"In states such as New Jersey, Massachusetts and New York, a flood of deferred distress from the last housing crisis is finally spilling over the legislative and legal dams that have held back some foreclosure activity for years," said Daren Blomquist, vice president at RealtyTrac. "That deferred distress often represents properties with deferred maintenance that will sell at more deeply discounted prices, creating a drag on overall home values."
QE number 34532 on the way?
San Francisco Federal Reserve President John Williams said on Friday that low neutral interest rates are a warning sign of possible changes in the U.S. economy that the central bank does not fully understand.
"I see this as more of a warning, a red flag that there's something going on here that isn't in the models, that we maybe don't understand as well as we think, and we should dig down deep deeper and try to figure this out better," he said during a panel discussion at the Brookings Institute in Washington.

It seems that more than a 'decent' collapse (aka RESET maker), what is happening is a slow and painful 'death by a million mosquito bites'. Schooling has become an indoctrination system that prepares tax slaves/soldiers/breeders - period. People who can and do think by and for themselves are all too rare and usually find themselves isolated from social media types. Self reliance is considered a bad joke and something from out of the 19th century. But hey, the great die off will 'correct' all that won't it? Its line up to save bullets time folks. And its why we really like such movies as Defiance and a rare but excellent example of sheeple asserting themselves - Escape From Sobibor. 'Escape' is a true story about a Nazi death camp that overthrew the guards and emptied out, most people surviving the war too. Its not a great movie to watch, but the idea is notable and valid. Something to tuck into the back of one's mind.
