Idk, sometimes when you start changing fluids you can create new problems too. If its not time to change and/or it looks clean, leave it.

I have always heard this as well, engines and vehicles break in and adjust to the way they are treated, once you take them out of that comfort zone, that's when you have problems. Quick example, my grandmother had a ford tempo and she worked in town which was 6 miles away. Everyday she got in her car and drove 6 miles to work at 35 miles per hour and then drove home 35 miles per hour. She had only about 24,000 miles after owning it 5 years. My aunt got sick and had to go to boston for treatment so my aunt and uncle borrowed my grandmothers car since it had low mileage and theirs was having issues. Got on the interstate driving 65 and after 4 hours blew up the engine. Coincidence? maybe

Kvr mentioned these earlier in the thread, curious if anyone has any thoughts or experience the 80s Mil Blazers.

Can tell you it would be worth adding a turbo if it is not already.

Anyway this place in CO cleans them up a bit, a bit pricey, but it would be nice to get a finished product check em out:

I think they are a neat piece once cleaned up like these, you can go to the gallery section for a look.

I have a Toyota fj cruiser 4wd a big V6 and a 7 ft trailer that can be pulled anywhere that fj can go , I would like to find a ford bronco II V6 they had a cast iron block. small can turn on a dime the first thing you do is have a drive shaft made (300.00)it will have u joints the factory shaft does not, and will break with hard use .A JEEP WAGONEER would be great also but you really need a small V8 to really get the performce they are easier to find ......

There is a cult (disguised as a church) near me that told all of its members (100's) to buy scouts in the early 90's for the upcoming disaster. There are so many around me its insane.

Thats bad ass for sure. Convert it to solar, add a rocket or wood stove and it'd be perfect.
