Direct From Mexico City: November 20, 2014. Protesters clash with police outside the airport and at the Zocalo. Protesters are demanding the government account for the kidnapping of 43 students from the Ayotzinapa Normal School. From AJ+ Video Journalist Jorge Villalpando

Local police officers allegedly in the pocket of a criminal gang known as the Guerreros Unidos are believed to be responsible for the shootings and disappearances of the students, Guerrero state prosecutor Iñaky Blanco Cabrera said Sunday.

This is the most important reason to secure our southern border.  I think the cartels are the biggest threat to our national security.  Not Iran, not Syria, not Russia, not ISIS.

Vice news is a good resource for investigative journalism.  I hardly agree with their stance on 99% of issues, but I appreciate that someone is asking real questions.

I sat here last night, just staring at these pictures and wondering what I would do if I lived there.  When the government around you is completely corrupt and you would literally be standing alone, what do you do?  At what point do you make the decision to stand for what's right, knowing you're probably going to be tortured and killed for it?

As lawless as our President is, I don't see the entire US becoming this.  I think the southern border towns will continue to struggle with border crossings and the cartel until the next President secures the border.
