Seems like you have a great combination. Only issue that I can think of is ph. Have you tested the soil?

Not yet it is still has snow on it.  But that will be the last thing I do before I begin.  I have an article on how to test the soil for a general pH acidic or alkaline.  So I will pursue it from that point.

take a sample to your local cooperative extension. They can test it for a nominal cost, usually around 15 dollars. It varies by state though.
