So I made it again last night and changed it up a bit.
Started by ribs, olive oil, salt and pepper
Browned up the ribs
Added 8 ounces of onions and 8 ounces of peppers
Used a soup bone instead of broth
Added 2 tbsp of granulated garlic and 12 ounces of merlot
Added 12 ounces of water
28 ounce can of diced tomatoes
and 6 ounce can of tomato paste
Added the short ribs and just enough water to cover
Didn't have a lot of time so I let them simmer for an hour and a half
shredded up the ribs
and added that back to the sauce to simmer for 30 minutes
My wife prefered it this way
