Time to kick the grilling up a notch!

STEAK FAJITA SKEWERS

INGREDIENTS

  • 900 g sirloin steak meat, diced
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • green bell pepper
  • red bell pepper
  • large onion
  • 8-10 bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 20 minutes)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. In a bowl, mix the steak, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt until the meat is coated.
  3. Skewer steak, bell pepper, and onion in an alternating order.
  4. Oil the surface of the grill and grill the skewers about 10-15 minutes.

GRILLED VEGGIE SKEWERS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • tsp pepper
  • 2 zucchini, thickly sliced
  • 3 cups mushrooms
  • red bell pepper, chopped
  • yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • 8-10 bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 20 minutes)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. Mix olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Skewer the zucchini, mushrooms, and bell peppers in an alternating order.
  4. Brush on the sauce mixture and grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes.

TERIYAKI CHICKEN SKEWERS

INGREDIENTS

  • 450 g chicken thighs
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • Tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • sliced pineapple
  • 4-5 bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 20 minutes)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. Mix the chicken thighs, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame seeds, and green onions in a bowl. Let marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Alternately skewer chicken thighs and pineapple slices.
  4. Oil the grill and grill the skewers for 10-18 minutes, lid closed.

BBQ CHICKEN & BACON SKEWERS

INGREDIENTS

  • 450g chicken thigh (chopped)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 5 slices of bacon
  • 5 bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 20 minutes)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. In a bowl, mix chicken thighs, barbecue sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Skewer a slice of bacon, add a piece of chicken, and then fold the bacon slice on top of that piece. Continue weaving up the skewer until the bacon slice is completely skewered.
  4. Oil the grill and grill the skewers for 12-18 minutes, lid closed.
