So my wife has been craving some chocolate, so I decided to try and make her something close to her favorites

so I grabbed some supplies

I dumped in 2 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder, 2/3 cup of honey and a teaspoon of sea salt

I melted a cup of coconut oil

12072337403_dbf2d13d3f_c.jpg

and mixed it well

I covered a pan with wax paper and smoothed it all out on the pan

and sprinkled unsweetened coconut and almonds on it

I set the pan outside to harden and after about 40 minutes, it was set

was good!

Now this is not Low-Cal,I did a quick breakdown on MFP but is Paleo friendly

Trader Joe's - Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, 16 Tbsp, 15mL

Calories 1,920

Hershey's Cocoa - Natural Unsweetened Powder, 32 tbsp

Calories 320

Honey - Clover, 11 Tablespoon

Calories 660

Let's Do...® Organic - Unsweetened Organic Coconut Flakes, 3 Tbsp. (15 g)

Calories 110

Natural Raw Sliced Almonds - 1 Tbsp, 2 tbsp

Calories 40

Total 3,050

Price wise it was about 4 dollars total for ingredients

So my wife has really taken to this side of paleo, she's doing chocolate banana popsicles, those things are awesome when the need for a snack arise
