No idea really, I just do what shows up and try not to mess up anything requested from the norm.

Maybe 40-50 hours a week right now, then back to 20-30 hours a week in January I am guessing.

I was thinking of making a hot smoker from a double barrel stove kit.

qid=1463842286&sr=8-2&keywords=double+barrel+stove+kit

take the lid off the top one and make a long grate that slides in and out to hold the food.

that way I can keep the smoke house im building for cold smoking only.

thoughts and opinions?

I picked up some drums today. The plastic ones with lids I make into pig water dispensers for people and while I was at my supplier I picked up a 50 gallon steel drum and 4, 25 gallon steel drums. The large drums are all food grade the little ones had oil.

Im going to make a stacked smoker with a little drum for the firebox and a large one for the smoke box. And another small drum will be the wood burner for the green house. the other 2 were thrown in with the bunch along with 2 trailer wheels and tires for 50 bucks lol my supplier is a good guy and knows ill take almost anything for free.

Are you going to strip the food grade ones? Or do you think the paint will not leech out bad things?

Please keep us posted with your build!

I wasnt worried about the top barrel but I planned to strip the small one. I doubt the top one would ever get over 500 degress.... do you think the paint on the top one would be a issue?
