well this was where we ended up till about 6:30 last night
got it back together, had it in neutral, removed the brake and proceeded to drive it backwards right off the ramps into my cedar trees, what the hell?
No forward but plenty of reverse, according this thread

the ball joint and the valve link need to be adjusted, but it seems to be braised on one end, so we gave up for the night, going to tear back apart today

HA, it's running like a champ, I'm working all day so @thenewsettler86 and my dad were working on it, they took the new plate off and compared them better and they were no where near being close, so they put the old one back on and went through and adjusted and tightened everything like in that thread I posted, the thing screams now in HI, you can keep the JD hat
