Okay am I thinking about this wrong? We all have seen my last two purchases trying to save money. Should I bite the bullet and go with something newer? I don't want to buy something and have to put money into it and have my wife gloat over it. Local tractor dealer, asking 10,500, 2010, 150 hours
asking 11,500 for this

K, I went down the path you are going down. I have been buying the oldest, brokest, pieces of equipment and the maintenance, down-time, and short life times did me in. I tried to buy the newest tractor I could find with warranty for the lowest price. My 2013 BX2370 with 129 hours cost $11k delivered with 6 months of warranty remaining.
The first Kubota you listed is the smallest one they make. The model on that one is probably an 1830 or 1850, depending on when it was made. Smaller deck (48 to 54"), shorter wheelbase, and most importantly a lighter duty loader. It is still an awesome tractor but the lighter loader turned me away from it -- these tractors are already limited on what they can lift on the front end.
The second one, the BX22, is nice and all but it has quite a few hours on it. $11,500 is high for me but the cab it is wearing goes for ~$3k new. You are paying more because it is from a dealer.
I bought mine from Barlow Equipment in Kentucky. They are nationally known for having the cheapest tractor prices and they ship all over the US. I literally saw my same exact tractor for $16k on Craigslist... remember I paid $11k. Call and talk to Brady, they have a few used tractors that are similar to the ones you are looking at for ~$7,500.
Main # is (606) 679-3659 but ask for Brady. He is the owner's son and a good guy to work with. Feel free to tell him I sent you.
