So we started by digging out around the barn to put down some insulation

We quickly built up a pile of crap fill which includes chips, gravel, firewood. This is going to be used for fill somewhere.

Worked out way up to the run

The run came down quickly and got thrown into the dump truck and hauled it off the to the transfer station

We started digging out the 20x32 section for the slab

The chickens were not happy at all

So they decided to take a nap in the shade

We need to haul off the dirt today to create some room to keep digging out

Yes, we are digging out any bad/heavy clay soil, laying insulation around the barn, refilling with exploded ledge and gravel, then regrading it all to run into the drainage we put in the yard last year.

As far as wiring, I think I'm leaning towards the aerial my friend suggested that way we don't have to worry about digging and laying pipe

well, the monsoons finally stopped yesterday, so we had to drain our new pool

and started digging out in front of the barn

Hit some pretty serious water so we have to put some drainage along the front this morning

started moving out the rest of the material and quickly created a huge mudpit

So we grabbed some ledge

and started laying down the base

was able to get the rest of the overburden out and now we wait for a couple days for the ground to dry out some to start adding drainage, layer and compact

Change of plans on the design as well
