So.... A guy walks into a bar, he see's Granny Smith and a Lady in Pink talking to a Northern Spy....(sounds like the makings for a Civil War mini-series)

Chalk me up as Fuji & Golden Delicious. I don't find Fuji very good for cooking though. Counter wise Golden Delicious is so-so for fresh eating.

I will add that the BEST apple I've ever had was a seedling that grew into what I would have called a golden delicious but was just so much more tasty and the best apple pie filling I ever have had. Sadly it was one of the trees that I had to leave behind when we sold our last property and I shudder to think that it was let die by the person who bought the place. Happily the area we live in had many apple trees and people who are glad to share the extra abundance produced.

My personal motto - The Home, a peace worth fighting for.
