I was looking at woot to see what the deal of the day was, when I saw these, scroll to the bottom

http://home.woot.com.....r-sleeps-1

I thought to myself, there is no way people are paying that for used pallets, so I checked etsy

https://www.etsy.com/search?q=pallets

this person has over 300 reviews

https://www.etsy.com/listing/150690465/pallet-wood-wall-clock-with-warm-coffee

one would assume that only a fraction of purchasers leave a review, but still, that's $15,000 from pallets

crazy

I actually went back through his old reviews to see how long it took him to make that $15k.  They started out selling clothes.  Not sure when the switch happened.

I'm not hating on it.  Still seems like there's great money to be made there.  I'm very tempted to grab some stain, some pallets and give it a try.  Just a shame i don't have much artistic talent.  Besides etsy, there's ebay, craft shows, etc. This may be what I'm looking for.

Check out some of these ones on Ebay.

that's the beauty of an etsy store, just keep trying to make one that looks good, once you are a happy with the result, take a picture, throw it on there, list it as two available, someone orders one, knock one out and ship it to them, if two get ordered, you already have the one you made for backup, no inventory needed

That was part of the reason I listed that.  When I saw the Pig clock, I was like, "There might be something here".  People go nuts for that kind of stuff.  I was envisioning a little craft show booth with pig, owl, and chicken clocks (aka Cock Clock).

BTW, that Etsy guy has a 4-5 week back-order.  Now that could be 5-10 clocks or it could be 100.  Who knows?  There was also a pretty cool rustic coat rack on that ebay search.

yep, setting up a little flea market stand on the weekend could be a great addition, get the boy scout troop involved for their wood working merit badge for free labor, and you'll be styling!
