Got the lumber for the raised bed garden, seeds are blooming, cleaned around the blueberries and blackberries. Got the bucket ready for growing the rice and the other for the potatoes.

Planted all the seeds for my raised beds, tomorrow will be planting the remaining spots in the beds with my transplants, and will be laying out my cardboard for my potato rows and then "planting" the potatoes in straw.

will do. I think I'm gonna run by wally world tonight while I'm at work and pick up some blood or bone meal to add to the straw, like I saw on the youtube video about the straw bale method. Other than that, I have a bag of manure compost that I'm gonna incorporate in with the potatoes so they have at least a little fertilizer on them when I lay down the straw. Right now I only have 2 bales, I think that will be enough to get me started, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to pick up a few more bales before it's over with.

straw bed potatoes are done, and the wife planted the tomato and pepper starts in the beds while I was working on the potatoes. I'll try to put up a pic if I can get her to send me one.
