There is a great gun shop a few miles from our farm...and I love that it's family owned...I am a huge believer in supporting family business over big box retailers.

Anyhow, last weekend they had PMC, 223, 20 rd box for $8.00 each.

They will do bulk pricing...But they won't clear the shelves for one guy.

we had a local gun shop that would camp out at wal-mart for when the .22 bricks would come in, they would buy them and they break them into plastic bags of 50 and sell them, I wasn't too impressed with that

Theses guys would limit the amount they would sell to maybe two boxes of 50 when 22 was tight.  But they also kept some bricks of 22 in the back room that they would break down for the regular customers.

One time I was there, at the height of the last gun scramble, a couple were buying a set of 9's, the deal was all but done...then they found out the store was out of 9mm ammo...the deal was a bust...I spoke up and said I had some extra 9mm and I would give it to the store for them to have if they bought the guns.  They bought the guns and asked why I gave up 'precious' ammo...I just said the owners are my friends and they need to eat too...I got a weird look from them.  And a few months later when ammo started coming back I got paid back by the owners with double the ammo I helped out with.
