What kind of trees? They harvested mostly oak and hemlock off us, hemlock isn't worth much, basically just good for pulp. I think they used way too much of the hardwood for firewood instead of sending it for veneer.

There's oak and pine that needs to grow a bit. And it looks like the gentleman that owned this place before me planted a retirement crop of black walnut. 

He and his wife passed away and the land went to their kids. They decided to sell it off. I don't think they knew what they had here.

Nice, I have quite a few black walnut trees around my pig pen, the pigs have a constant snack and we harvest some also.

So much money to be made harvesting those acorns and walnuts. And you can get your property taxes reduced to nearly zero for timber production.
