Thanks I tried the weed-B-gone right before winter set in so ill see in the spring if it helped any. I have not tried dawn, salt and vinegar so this spring I will be trying that. Can I Ask how big of a pond you made K? thanks  

It's about 60 feet long and 30 feet wide, it takes up a large portion of our yard that we could have utilized better
