it was funny, we had her birthday party sunday at a bowling alley and she had about 10-12 of her friends with her, my wife, father and I were sitting a little bit apart from their group and my wife said, are we sure she is introverted? Then I started noticing she was coming over and hanging out with use every 10-15 minutes instead of her friends, I don't think I would have noticed it before we had the talk the other night, I don't know, maybe I'm reading to much into it
I am a total introvert. It was very difficult when I was a child because it was so extreme. Fortunately my parents accepted it about me and allowed me to just be who I was, and my skills as an artist grew out of it. Introverts have a lot going on inside and dominant culture needs to back off and let us be.

I am a total introvert. I have been my whole life. My parents were great in that they always encouraged me to just be who I am.
The thing to maybe remind her of, is that even the extroverts her age have the same anxieties. They just cover it up with their extrovertness!

I'm pretty much an introvert. Have never been great at making friends, etc. My father is the same way, and it's resulted in us basically not having a relationship. When we were dating, my wife just didn't understand when after a party, family gathering, etc. I told her I needed time to "decompress".
I think my son is an introvert as well. At recess at school, he's content to read a book. He doesn't have many friends, etc. He's a super book worm. And it's hard to make people (my wife, etc.) understand that too much of ANYTHING (even books) is a bad thing.
