Hmm,

I just reflected back to the book suggestion and realized something. First thing I might seek out might be inspired by the various topics where my knowledge has come up short since I began paying attention to the election maybe 2 months ago.

I removed the wage tables you posted, the divs were causing some display and other issues, would probably be better to just take a screen cap and post it

Oh. Whoops. I did not see any display issues when I posted it. Otherwise I'd have fixed it myself. Only thing I saw was the tables were cut short on the right edge.

K, it looks like you also removed 1, maybe 2 paragraphs above the tables. I don't suppose they still exist someplace? It breaks the flow of what I wrote. I might be able to write some of it back, but if possible it'd be better with the original narrative.

Out of curiosity. When talking about greed in response to the well thought out post on page two. Why did you completely ignore the take home of a chain owner? Is it not greedy to want to take away from someone else so your own life is bettered without any additional effort on your part?

Look. I wish that everyone could instantly be rich without any effort. But life doesn't work that way. While it may be true that many people working minimum wage jobs have other skills which are not entry level the fact is simple. They are not being paid for those skills. They are being paid for entry level work.

I saw the world around me and knew I wanted more than just to live paycheck to paycheck. So I acquired skills that employers desired and sought employment with those companies. Why instead of encouraging young people to learn a trade are you wanting to reward laziness? And yes. It is lazy to expect compensation that far exceeds the skills that you are offering an employer without offering your employer more. They took risk to start the business. You simply offer your time and labor in exchange for a paycheck. Aka took no risk.

The answer to not making enough money is simple. Before I hired on with the company I now work for I interviewed with another company for the same job position. I didn't like the compensation they offered. So I told them no and moved on.

CJ, I've already stated that I've stretched my time commitments in this thread. In considering a response I could compose a lengthy reply, but frankly I've given too much time to this already and you're coming in late. I've provided ample information for you to extrapolate from. Beyond that, I am certainly not the only person to whom you can pose such questions.

Yeah, ya really haven't. But alright. If anyone else would like to explain to me why it's not greedy to expect a company to pay you more for performing basic job functions without offering the employer more, but it is greedy to expect a return on your investment I'd apreciate it.
