I certainly am not a troll.
You believe I'm naive for thinking you aught to be paid according to your worth to a company and how much skill it takes to do the job you were hired for.
I believe you are naive for believing that minimum skills should receive anything other than minimum pay.
I also believe you are naive to believe that another law can rectify anyone's financial problems.
The following users say thank you to CJ for this useful post:
jonathco, DangerDukeI think the bigger issue is the fact that average americans are depending on minimum wage jobs to survive, they should be up in arms over the fact that pretty much all manufacturing has moved to china.
As far as cj being a troll, I search the users name, ip and email address for every person that signs up, I approve about 5 percent of the people that sign up. She is not a troll from what i have found.

I think I saw someone post the hard percentage earlier on how many people actually make minimum wage. Wasn't it something like 3%?
That may be accurate, but that's also a skewed statistic imo. It may be 3% making 7.25, but how many are making 7.75 or 8?? I'm sure the % making under $15 is probably close to 20-30%. Or how many may be making 10-12, but only getting 25 hours a week?

Ok. I had a long well written response for ya. But my phone died so I lost it. And I've got to sleep.
In the interim. Are you saying that you think the government should dictate how much people can make?
Why I asked this question will become clear when I get around to writing my response again.

27 million people - 18.4 percent of American workers are working part time.
3 million workers with wages at or below the federal minimum made up 3.9 percent of all hourly paid workers.
64 million workers - 42% earn less than 15.00 per hour
37 million people earn $10,000.00 or less per year
If you earn $15k per year, you make more than 48 million workers
if you earn $30k per year, you make more than 81 million workers
if you are earning 50k or more per year, you make more than 111 million workers - or 73% of the workforce.
