Here are some of the biggest 'cult'-like franchises ever.  Which one do you identify with the most?

Star Wars or Star Trek

Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter

(we can throw this in too:  Dual Survival or Alaskan Bush People)

...I am a Lord of the Rings guy.

that's a tough one, I go through phases, when I was teens I would say stephen king, twenties louis lamour, never really got into the whole cult like fan culture that a lot of the things you listed generate, last 20 years all about DIY stuff though, can't get enough whether it be a book, show, video, etc

I hear ya K.  I agree, most everything I/we do is geared around gardening, canning, fruit trees, the farm, building, energy, managing the land, and all that related stuff.  I have a great library now and keep up with tools for the farm...that is our joy and passion.  I do enjoy the escape of some of the movies...I would have been great in Lord of the Rings....ahh...

I told my wife I was going to move my books out to the workshop, she surprised me by fighting me on it. She asked why would I want to do that since I have no heat out there.

Well that brought up the conversation of the heater I bought.

I told her it would free up space in the house.

I think I have to sneak them out in the middle of the night!
