agreed, I just checked her youtube channel, she is insinuating that the kid that got killed hiking last fall may have been killed by his hiking partners and the black bear just happened along afterwards

Honestly I've lived in NY, Pa and Maine my whole life, have only seen 2 black bears in Pa and one in Maine, my brother bear hunts in Pa and he's only seen one I believe, not sure about NJ

A friend of mine got a pic of a black bear on his game camera where we hunt last season, but I've never seen one. They're mostly a bit north of where I live. I dont hunt bear at this point, just fishing deer and turkey, but I sure as hell support the right to hunt bear. 

Like Farmboy said, she'll end up dead from doing this eventually.  At some point you become so fanatical about a movement that you lose objectivity.  These are the type of people that go to the amazon to protect some lost tribe and dont realize that it's a bunch of cannibals until you're being lowered into the boiling pot.  All you can do is hope they dont hurt themselves or others in the process of their nonsense.

I consider myself very good with animals, I would never approach a black bear like that
