A canoe that you sit really close to the floor, like a kayak.

Lots of guys use that for ocean fishing. Would be awesome on a lake.

Byrd from the OG had that same boat I believe....maybe a bit longer.

I cant remember the last time I was in a canoe. Id have to get in one before I bought one.

Current Designs only makes kayaks - both them and Wenonah are owned by the same company.

For example: http://www.cdkayak.c.....bf8e7d4402

So how much is shipping ?

Last time I had a kayak shipped from NC to IA, it cost $100. That was a Wilderness Systems Pamlico 145T (14.5' and weighed around 70 pounds).

B, check out Wenonah and Current Designs. Factory seconds from Winona, MN can be had (if you know a dealer - the guy I posted last night is). My current all around solo canoe is a wenonah wilderness (15.5' jack of all trades canoe) listed at ~$1200 and I got a factory second for $800. Even the guy (who designs gear for them) - same dealer in SE MN - couldn't find an issue.
