I was bored the other day and was yearning for some simple biscuits and gravy. I had some biscuits left over from the day before, so I figured why not. So I grabbed my supplies, some flour, milk and a pound of sausage we had made from our pigs.
dumped a pound of sausage into a pan
browned it up
dumped in a 1/4 cup of flour
and stirred it in well to absorb the grease
dumped in 2.5 cups of milk
and it thickened within a couple minutes
served over my biscuits I had made, it was good

For a still simple, yet a little more complex gravy: puree leftover vegetable barley soup in the food processor and add to your gravy.
Also a great way to sneak veggies into a picky eater! 😉

you could toss in some broccoli and i think it would compliment it just fine as well
