Most people, when looking for a new bed for their home, decide to just buy one from the local furniture store. Unless you are a DIY’er like imgur user JoshZastrow , then you just build your own plank style bed.
Taking inspiration from several different examples around the internet; such as here, here, and here; he built a piece of furniture that is not only beautiful, but will last a life time. An extra added benefit for building your own is significant cost savings; the complete build cost him just under $300 dollars!

10If you want to build your own plank bed you can see the complete process at …I made a plank style bed! If you can borrow a KREG from someone like they used in the build; I highly recommend it. We used one when we built our barn doors and they make joinery a breeze. This Jr. Pocket system is perfect for part-time woodworkers.
