If anyone is a blade maker, bowl turner or works with burls or exotic woods. What cha making?
If you are a blade maker I'll send you blanks for handles as long as you are a active forum member or will post up your projects.
Anything bigger then knife handle blanks, I will ask that you pick up shipping from Western Canada.

At the moment I have some stump burl Maple. It should show well once you get around 400-600 grit.
The picture is just some water on the piece. I am thinking of turning a few square shallow bowls from it.
*no pics, I need to figure out how to size them again.

Wow! That is some beautiful wood. What about a coffee table that would show off the grain? Shipping might be a bear but I'd be more than interested.

I'll look tomorrow, I think I have a better vertical burl live edge for a coffee table. Just not sure how green it is.

Icanreachit, I have a piece which is roughly 2 feet by three feet. It is a full piece stump vertical burl cut but not like that gargled one above. Problem is it is green.
I'll put it aside for you and I'll push it in the kiln line. I am heading to the jungle Sunday for a while. Might be a month before it is out of the kiln though if you do not mind waiting. I hate throwing away small pieces of perfectly good wood.
Will take some jungle pictures while away. Should be amusing this time I'm looking at 24 hours on 4 planes. Then three hours driving and three days in a dug out boat.
