possibly. It could have been a lot of things : dogs, cats, opossum, raccoon, skunk, hawk, who knows? My neighbor has dogs and an awkward situation where she has to walk them to a pen at the back of her yard. The chickens might have been in between that pen and the house when she let her dogs out and it could have resulted in chicken murder. She didn't fess up to it, but it would be my fault if that's what happened.

The neighbors are very cool with everything. I help them out with stuff, give them a few eggs, etc. We get on well. In fact, one of the neighbors just gave me a jig saw and some square clamps because I helped her mom out with a legal issue.

The chickens are great @KVR   Check em out https://goo.gl/photos/Q3pcPCfTHBjzFok37

We've had some chicken turn over.  We lost 4 chickens, mostly to opossums and hawks.  This summer we got a couple chicks from some friends.  One is a Silky and the other is a Wheaten Maran.  The Silky is a pretty good layer so far.  The Wheaten should be good when she starts but she's younger.  I built them that mod coop too.  It's currently winterized for our laughable North Texas winters.  In March those plywood panels come off and we take out the heat lamp.  There's been a lot of rain here lately.  We had a great peach and pecan harvest this year and our garden did well.

How is Maine treating you?  The old lady found us a dream house up there on Zillow.  It was a 1700's farm house on 6 acres for like $250.  I don't think she could handle the winters though.

Nice! Beautiful birds @ceiling_cat

Things are going well, can't complain, no one listens anyways. 🙁

Winters aren't so bad, you get use to it to be honest. One of the coldest times I have ever felt was when it was 30 in orlando after I had lived there for a year, I was walking around in my pea-coat. 30 up here is t-shirt weather.

Alright, maybe 40.

Great place to look and search for property up here.
