Go with the JD in Embden if you can swing it. It is *much* more tractor than the Case. If all you can afford or store is the Case then go with the Case.

If you buy a 4x4 hydrostatic tractor with a loader you probably won't be driving the ATV much. If I had those 2 tractors near me it would be hard to not buy the JD. It would just be that more useful than the Case. E.g. I don't think the front axle of the Case can handle nearly the abuse of the JD when you are on uneven ground or driving through the woods. It just wasn't built for that.

As much as I love old Allis Chalmers tractors (it's all my grandpa would farm with), Pork is right. Get something hydra and 4wd,  you won't regret it. Also, on a small homestead,  something with a 3 point is the best option (older Allis and Farmalls won't have 3 points natively). Drawbar attachments are worthless if you are on a small plot.

Do it, bro. Hunt down a mower for it and have a lawn tractor on steroids. It doesn't have a PTO but does have rear hydraulics (as you can see in the back with the tiller). You could hunt down a snow blower for it, too.
