K, sounds like you should make your yard wheelchair accessible.

I didnt even think of that.  Lets begin compiling the data to help Kvr get this done.  Lumber costs, man hours...

funny, real funny

I talked to the local tree service and they said they can start dropping off wood chips when ever I want, so I need to make a space for them, talked to the excavator guy, looks like next monday is the day

Will the excavator do the drainage? What are you going with, sock drains? I want to do the same thing at my place but I don't think I have the elevation.

going with perforated pipe, going to use him to move the current beds and soil, dig the trenches for drainage, and haul in the chips/mulch, my rough estimate is 200 yards, no way I am doing that with a shovel and wheel barrow

Cool. Take pics -- I want to see how it goes. Do you have a lot of elevation at your place? How do they charge for the drainage -- by the foot? Sorry, I have lots of questions!

well actually talked to the foreman for the tree cutting service today, he didn't seem to sound like they had as many wood chips to spread around as I was led to believe, I said well, I own a restaurant, every time the guys drop some off, I will buy them lunch, he replied, that sounds good, but we would probably go to the people who pay us first, I think he was trying to pump me for money,

so now I'm looking for a wood chipper, I will just chip up the 200 yards if I have to from my woods

I've been gathering them from areas where trees have fallen and broken down for a while.
