Ramps are wild leeks. I start craving them in feb. it isn't spring until I get my fires taste of them!

So the garden is going well, turnips are massive and want to go to seed

So I finally decided to start using those sandbags. As you can see in this pic, my yard is basically a slope. My idea is to terrace it so we don't have to garden on a hill and will be able to fit more in the space we have already.

I put a couple of stakes in the ground and ran a mason line in between the two to give me the line for my wall.

I used my bubble level to make sure the line was leveled out.

I measured the low point, which was around 9 inches.

Once I got the low point measured, I grabbed a few tools and started cutting a trench to that point to give my bag wall a reasonably level surface to rest on. I used and adz (which is actually for finishing logs)
