So this is what my friend did. I got a jet pump and it is inside so I don't have to worry about it freezing. He put the pipe throught the top I the tank for now but before winter he is going to bury it and put it through the side of the tank. We also will drain and clean it.
At some point I will get a submersible pump which will. Be quieter.

I just signed up for a cost share program for planting medicinal herbs. If I am accepted the program will pay half to 75% of the cost for seeds and starts of some of the more valuable native medicinals.

Right now the program is specifically for ginseng and goldenseal. They are hoping to expand it into other herbs
