well, had to take the pigs to the butcher yesterday, they didn't look to happy

we backed up the trailer to the barn and put a gate on the side to funnel them in

and it was a total cluster, it was probably the worst experience moving pigs, I learned my lesson on this one, I didn't spend near as much time with the pigs this year as I have in the past, which made it more difficult, the little one bolted under the trailer and got stuck, I was able to grab his back leg and drag him out and set him in the trailer, newsettler was blocking off the end with a gate, it was pretty funny watching him getting tossed like a ragdoll when the two big ones charged him and hit the gate, but we finally got them loaded and delivered

they should be ready this weekend

Wow, that is cheap. Seams to me, that last time my buddy who has horses bought hay, he said he paid $4-5, and around $7-8 for good alfalfa.

everything I have seen on craigslist is the same price, so I aint complaining, thanks to @thenewsettler86 and @roscoe816 for helping getting it and stacking it

thinking about getting some more and filling the whole barn and pulling the gate out of the middle, should help keep the cows warm and they can just graze in the barn when they want

I paid 4.00 for my first two loads. They are twice as heavy as most others and the quality is outstanding.

I insulated my coop today.  Tomorrow I install a heated water bucket to my goat shelter.

Spent the day cleaning up after a wee bit of a fire in the smoker.

Had 12 coffee wood chickens going and they made a design flaw apparent. The olive oil from 12 chickens went onto my wood box and ignited. Within seconds birds were dropping. Used the fire extinguisher on the system after turning off the gas. Could have been way worse if I was not standing ten feet and able to get on top of the fire before things got out of control.

Burnt the chickens in a burn barrel today. Fixed the drainage area for the system and did a heavy clean up of all the parts of the machine.

Already back to  doing Holiday Hams now and have 15 chickens to do tomorrow.

I am coming to the conclusion that birds are so meant to be smoked. I very much look forward to chicken days.
