lol, it's like the keystone cops of homesteading, that is no way a slight on the family, but it seems to be the way the show is being produced and portrayed, and as we have seen reality tv is not reality and producers have a way of twisting things

But it kind of is a slight on the family.  Bottom line, it was way too late in the season to start homesteading, where they did, from scratch.  I got to thinking, even with the cabin, they had 0 fire wood.  Unless the show is completely fake (Which it probably is), they would have most likely froze and or starved to death within 90 days.  They were completely unprepared.

that is a good point, they agreed to doing it and portraying themselves that way, I was surprised with the snow, when it first aired, I thought it was the start of spring, seem like it was filmed in the end of fall
