my buddy picked up the handy rifle in 300 blackout, paid like 250 for it I believe, he loves it

newsettler has  handy rifle in 22-250 that's pretty sweet as well, great guns as long as you don't mind a single shot

I am thinking of switching to a Ruger American Predator or Ranch -- they have threaded barrels and as such can take suppressors. Shooting 308 or 300 AAC without a suppressor is too dang loud.

It is brah. I like them -- but Ruger just released the American Ranch in 300 BLK for ~$350 or so. I think that would be a better fit for me but I got out of the 300 BLK game. 308 is super loud, however, so it would be nice to suppress it.

Nope, bolt. I believe it is 4+1 with the detach magazine.
