So I came across this mongolian beef recipe the other day, I didn’t have all the ingredients so once again I used my culinary knowledge (which wouldn’t fill a hat) and decided to experiment. I decided to make in the crockpot because I didn’t have a lot of time to babysit it. So I gathered some supplies.
I cut up 2 pounds of hanging tenders
and dumped in half a cup of corn starch
and mixed till coated
in the crockpot I dumped
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. white wine
1/4 c. cooking sherry
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. red chili flakes
3 tablespoon peanut butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
I took a small onion and 3 cloves of garlic
and sliced and diced that up and threw it in the crockpot
stirred it well
and dumped in the meat
stirred up and set it on low
about 2 hours in I stirred, smelled good
and 3 hours later, served over rice and sprinkled with sesame seeds
it was outstanding
