the 4 heifers are ready now, but he will have more ready around june

did a quick estimate of 4 at 150 lbs apiece and it says average of 600 dollars

Haha. I am up for this adventure. I'm not sure I'm ready for heifers -- because you only breed them, right? I was hoping to focus just on beef cows so that a) I would know at some point there would be an end to the experiment and b) we can supplement our grocery costs with the beef. My plan was to start looking at heifers in year 2. What do you think? I also need to figure out Michigan ear tagging and what shipping in cattle from another state means.

well, I got to give the dude credit, he took today off messing around trying to figure out the wiring issue, his friend brought over his truck with a 7 pin and everything worked fine, he rented a u-haul with a 7 pin and everything worked fine, he brought it to me and I had @roscoe816 hook up his truck with the 7 pin and everything worked fine, so we bought it, I gave him 1500 for taking the day off and renting the truck, still a good deal. Besides I gave them a tour and they want to buy some of the boys meat. Win, win.
Looks like I need to convert the FJ to a 7 pin

it won't really matter if you are just looking at beef, a heifer will give you the option to breed them if you want, sometimes you can fall in love with an animal and want to keep it around
