Yes, Ryobi has a ton of tools for the cordless world...I had no idea either.

I talked to one of the guys at Home Depot...he said prices are all over the place...some of it is based on the Name Brand, but a lot of it is based on the type of battery.  In the Lithium Ion world there are a couple of different generations and that is where a lot of the costs come in to play for the more expensive ones.

I definitely see where buying the bigger sets has economies of scale.

I keep hearing that Makita or Hitachi have long term reliability...lot's of choices.

The big thing is catching a sale on a set.

Keeping eyes open.

I have Dewalt, Makita, Ryobi and Milwaukee sets of six tools per kit for around 9 months now.

I listed them in the order of job site dependence for myself. Milwaukee I'll never buy again, batteries are rather useless under load.

Ryobi and Rigid have awesome warranties, I think they might be the same company. All the kits are Ion and 19V.

If just wanting the drill/impact I'd go with the best warranty/price.

I have been enjoying Home de pot since returning.
