Eye protection is always a good bet.  My concern would be something blowing up or catching on fire...wife worked the Regional Burn unit for almost 15 years...there is a downside to fire.

...that is really my only concern...'other' people charging battery's when there are 2 different types...I could color code the batteries with their appropriate charger, just use some spray paint that is safe for plastic.

I never heard a lot about PC cordless tools.  I know the PC corded saws and sanders I bought in the early 90'2 are bullet proof tools.

I have only had this set for like 4 years, was checking amazon and saw that the 18v can take nicd or lithium as well, might just upgrade to the porter cable lithium set so I can use all the rest of the tools in the kit.

The upgrade sounds good...like you say, you can use the tools you already have...I have to order my 'new' batteries this weekend for my Craftsman set.

k, Did you ever get that temperature activated outlet adapter?

I'm moving over to Dewalt 20v. Mostly because of this product:

qid=1454698677&sr=8-1&keywords=dewalt+cordless+vacuum

The cordless vacuum is the best tool I own now.  My wife thinks its hers unfortunately. This thing is so handy you won't believe it.

The cordless skillsaw is a pretty awesome invention too.  It doesn't have the umphf of my worm drive, but that only matters on harder or really thick wood.  For plywood and 2x4's it's perfect.

The 20v batteries seem to last quite a while, and with a 2-3 battery rotation, I'm able to keep moving pretty much all day with the things I'm doing (deck building & remodel work).

My only gripe with Dewalt 20v is that their worksite radio gets horrible reviews.  If that worksite radio functioned 1/2 as well as the Bosch worksite radio, this lineup would be perfect.
