Today was a great, gorgeous and productive day. We planted onions. Seeded radish, carrot, beets, and salad greens. The spinach is coming up. We expanded the asparagus bed with eight more crowns!

Started on the orchard by planting fig trees, and thornless blackberry plants.

Filled another hole in the fence where the pony was still getting out. I'm using brush. It is working well. Some time in the future I hope to have time and money to replace the fences completely. I like the locust tree idea.

Smart move. I still have no idea why I planted blackberries with thorns. I'm reminded of my mistake every time I try to weed that patch.

Here in Texas the ones with thorns are FREE and plentiful all throughout the woods. I thought the kids would enjoy picking the ones from vines without thorns much more. But I have been wrong before ....

Today I worked a bit more on planting post , and worked some on the new house to be.
