After 2 weeks I'm down to 268# and one pants size. I have a health maintenance appointment in January, so we'll se how much my triglycerides have gone down.
I'm grabbing a new pair of running shoes this weekend, and I'll start logging some miles next week.
I'll give it a week or so and then log my first mile time and some of the other metrics.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I was a mediocre blue (at best) and have struggled with whether I should "start over". I think the overall consensus is that you keep it and just keep chugging along. At the end of a day, I guess that's a question/discussion for you and your instructor. Also, welcome to the "I can beat Mike Tyson club."
